    About the role#

    This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to join the Equipment Engineering Group. You will contribute to the development of custom equipment and software solutions that support medical device manufacturing. The role involves working with industrial robotics, electro-mechanical systems, and software integration across various production environments.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and build software applications for manufacturing processes.
    • Design, code, and test PC-based interfaces to hardware.
    • Develop applications using C#, WPF, VB.NET, or Java within the .NET Framework or .NET Core environment.
    • Maintain and update electrical schematics and documentation for manufacturing systems.
    • Troubleshoot software and electrical issues directly on the production floor.
    • Design systems with a focus on long-term maintainability and supportability.
    • Use version control tools like Git or TFS to manage code.
    • Participate in initiatives to improve equipment performance, usability, and reliability.

    What you'll need#

    • Current status as a rising junior or rising senior pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Ability to start on May 17th or 24th, 2027, for a 12-week duration.
    • Programming experience in C#, WPF, VB.NET, or Java.
    • Familiarity with the .NET Framework or .NET Core.
    • Experience using Visual Studio.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
    • Experience with version control tools like Git or TFS and previous exposure to the medical device industry are preferred.

    • This role is based in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
    • This is an on-site, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
    • This position is paid.
