About the role#
This externship provides students with exposure to a variety of clinical cases in a state-of-the-art veterinary environment. Externs work alongside veterinarians and credentialed technicians to gain hands-on experience in both primary and urgent care. The program focuses on mentorship and professional development to help students build their clinical skills.
What you'll do#
- Focus on patient care with support from veterinary assistants and a remote nurse team.
- Work side by side with veterinarians to provide high-quality medical care.
- Participate in surgery and dental procedures.
- Educate pet parents during clinic visits.
- Attend internal educational events provided by the Medical Operations Team.
- Utilize innovative technologies and medical equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technician or veterinary nursing program.
- Requirement to complete externship hours or skills for your current coursework.
- Independent, unrestricted valid authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not available).
