About the role#
Bond Vet offers a Veterinary Technician Externship for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment. This role provides exposure to a variety of cases while working alongside experienced veterinary professionals. You will focus on developing your clinical skills and medical knowledge through direct patient interaction and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Focus on patient care with support from veterinary assistants.
- Work side by side with veterinarians to provide care and support.
- Participate in surgery and dental procedures.
- Educate pet parents on their pet's health and care.
- Attend internal educational events hosted by the Medical Operations Team.
- Use new medical equipment and clinic tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technician or veterinary nursing program.
- A requirement for externship hours or skills as part of your current coursework.
- Independent unrestricted valid authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
