About the role#
This externship offers students the chance to gain clinical experience in a veterinary setting. You will work alongside veterinarians and credentialed technicians to provide primary and urgent care. The program provides mentorship and exposure to a variety of medical cases.
What you'll do#
- Focus on direct patient care.
- Work side by side with veterinarians to provide medical support.
- Participate in surgery and dental procedures.
- Shadow credentialed veterinary technicians during appointments.
- Educate pet parents on care and treatment.
- Attend internal educational events hosted by the Medical Operations Team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technician or veterinary nursing program.
- Placement in a class that requires externship hours or specific skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
