About the role#
We are looking for a motivated student to join our Managed Services team for the summer of 2027. This role focuses on using AI, scripting, and automation platforms to reduce manual work and improve system reliability. You will work in an Agile environment alongside engineers from IT Operations, Cloud, Network, and Application Engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and deploy automation scripts, workflows, and bots to handle repetitive operational tasks.
- Experiment with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to improve alert triage and root-cause analysis.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding strategies to support system uptime and resiliency.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation initiatives within Azure.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams and participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
- Complete a capstone project focused on a real-world operational challenge, such as automating a workflow or reducing alert noise.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- A strong interest in automation, AI, and IT operations.
- Intellectual curiosity and a drive to learn new technologies.
- Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or interest in scripting (Python, PowerShell), AI/ML concepts, cloud computing (Azure), or site reliability engineering.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship running from Wednesday, May 26, 2027, to Friday, July 30, 2027.
- The role is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and utilizes a hybrid work schedule. You must live within commuting distance of our office in Aksarben Village.
