About the role#
Blood Cancer United is looking for a Campaign Fundraising Specialist to support our peer-to-peer fundraising efforts in New York. You will help manage the logistics, data, and coordination needed to reach our revenue goals and support our mission. This role involves working closely with internal departments and managing relationships with volunteers to ensure our campaigns run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Oversee logistics, timelines, and operational elements for assigned fundraising campaigns.
- Act as an on-site manager during events, overseeing staff, vendors, and volunteers.
- Research and recommend event venues and location sites.
- Partner with the Education, Services and Health Research department to communicate our mission and programs.
- Manage data entry to keep CRM and fundraising systems accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to support fundraising teams.
- Connect with vendors to secure services or in-kind donations.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a related role.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively.
- Experience supervising and leading a group of volunteers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort using digital and social media tools.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in New York, New York.
- The role is hybrid and requires travel within the designated area.
- You will need to work some evenings or weekends and may occasionally move campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
