About the role#
This position focuses on building relationships with fundraising volunteers and implementing peer-to-peer fundraising strategies to meet revenue goals for Blood Cancer United. You will work within a mission-centric environment to drive high-impact fundraising and expand the organization's reach in the Northern Virginia market.
What you'll do#
- Drive high-impact peer-to-peer fundraising to achieve overall revenue goals.
- Recruit fundraising volunteers and cultivate high-level volunteer committees to support revenue growth.
- Partner with the Education, Services, and Health Research departments to communicate the organization's mission, programs, and priorities.
- Organize mission-centered local donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors for national stewardship activities.
- Collaborate with local relationship teams and national shared service partners.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for fundraising products, including managing budgets and timelines.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to supervise groups of volunteers and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital, social media, and emerging online channels.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Location: Washington, DC.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $72,000 to $81,000 per year.
- Note: This role requires travel within the designated area and occasional work during evenings or weekends. You may be required to move campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
