About the role#
The Tax Intern in Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to help multi-national companies price transactions between entities within their corporate group. You will examine economic conditions and industry trends to help clients comply with tax regulations. This role requires analytical ability along with strong writing and editing skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to understand factors affecting inter-company transactions, such as corporate structure, functional responsibilities, and value drivers.
- Analyze industry and financial data to document intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, including market penetration scenarios and intangible property valuation.
- Prepare project reports and technical memos describing analytical processes.
- Create presentations to convey analysis results and recommendations to clients.
- Participate in pitches to potential clients.
- Take interview notes and prepare summaries for the team.
- Proofread and edit reports before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to produce initial drafts of written reports independently.
- Experience with detailed reading, proofing, and editing technical material.
- Effective interpersonal skills with experience in public speaking or presentations.
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing and a desire to learn the industry.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
