About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will participate in a structured training program to learn BDO audit methodology and accounting standards. You will work alongside experienced team members to support client engagements, gain hands-on experience, and build professional relationships within the firm.
What you'll do#
- Participate in on-the-job training covering Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Provide support to audit staff during active engagements.
- Communicate with client contacts, including customers, creditors, and banks regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using firm-specific tools.
- Share ideas and opinions with your audit team.
- Complete one accounting or audit research project and present your findings to a panel of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required for CPA licensure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A masters degree in Accounting and leadership experience are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Costa Mesa, California.
- The position is on-site for the Summer 2027 term.
