About the role#
The Tax Intern, Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to help multinational companies price transactions between entities within their corporate group. You will examine economic conditions and industry trends to help companies comply with tax regulations. This role requires analytical ability, along with strong writing and editing skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risks, and value drivers.
- Analyze industry and client financial data to document intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, including market penetration scenarios and calculating the value of intangible property.
- Prepare project reports that include your research, quantitative analysis, and final results.
- Create presentations to convey recommendations to clients and assist in pitching service capabilities to potential clients.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos describing the analytical process.
- Take interview notes, summarize findings for the team, and proofread reports before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to produce initial drafts of project deliverables independently.
- Experience with detailed reading, proofing, and editing technical material.
- Effective interpersonal skills with experience in presentations or public speaking.
- Ability to communicate directly with clients in a professional manner.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing and a desire to learn more about the industry.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
