About the role#
As an intern in our Technology Risk Assurance practice, you will work alongside experienced team members to assist with problem solving and fact-finding. This role provides hands-on experience with our firm practices and offers the chance to build professional relationships while contributing to our client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Document and test application and automated controls across various software packages.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and recommendations.
- Participate in internal control reviews based on Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
- Conduct client interviews and perform walkthroughs of controls for non-complex clients.
- Prepare workpapers and document test results.
- Develop relationships with client personnel and management.
- Apply IS audit principles to non-complex client environments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems degree program.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from the Assurance Team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
- Preferred qualifications include a Masters in Information Systems, past leadership experience, prior internship or work study experience in information systems or operational auditing, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and exposure to industry ERP applications.
