About the role#
As an intern with Baird Advisors, you will work directly with our institutional fixed income asset management team. This is a full-time summer position where you will gain exposure to our investment process and collaborate with experienced portfolio managers. You will handle a mix of daily operational tasks and dedicated project work throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support the team's reporting needs using various systems, including Microsoft Excel.
- Work alongside portfolio managers to learn about our investment process.
- Use Bloomberg data to research specific topics assigned by the investment team.
- Present your research findings to the team and respond to questions.
- Monitor reports to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Identify and suggest improvements to current processes.
- Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, mathematics, engineering, or economics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an interest in developing advanced data analysis skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- A high level of professionalism and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach to new challenges.
- A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in our downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
- You will work 37.5 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
