About the role#
Bose Professional is hiring an Electronic Design Engineer Co-op to join our engineering team in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. You will work on new product development for audio signal processors and power amplifiers. This role involves exposure to small signal analog audio, high speed digital systems, power conversion, and high power amplifier design. You will work alongside a cross functional team to turn concepts into production ready designs.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret block diagrams, schematics, and layout files.
- Perform simulations and prototyping for circuit modifications or new designs.
- Use Altium Designer to edit and draft portions of schematics and layouts.
- Execute test plans, perform in-circuit debugging, and conduct audio performance measurements using Audio Precision analyzers.
- Perform rework on surface mount PCBAs.
- Break down complex technical issues into manageable tasks.
- Document and communicate your findings to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior at Northeastern University in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Experience with SPICE circuit simulation.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and layout, preferably in Altium Designer.
- Hands on lab experience using power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Practical experience with soldering and building prototype PCBAs.
- An interest in audio and music.
