About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring Co-op or Intern students for the Financial Reporting & Insights team in Manitoba for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides hands-on experience with reviews, compilations, and corporate tax work. You will work in a hybrid environment, balancing time between the office, client sites, and remote work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagements.
- Build working files for income tax and information returns for clients of various sizes.
- Manage ongoing accounting analysis and assignments according to established procedures.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients by responding to their requests.
- Communicate regularly with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program focused on accounting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A commitment to teamwork, high-quality work, and client service.
- Interest in long-term professional growth within the Financial Reporting & Insights team.
- Familiarity with software like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is considered an asset.
