About the role#
Equitable is hiring a Co-op Student for the IT Investment Technology team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Waterloo, Ontario. We are looking for students interested in application development, automation, and investment analytics to join us for a 4, 8, or 12-month term.
What you'll do#
- Develop applications to improve analytics related to securities and investment needs.
- Contribute new functionality to existing automation infrastructure.
- Support the daily operation of existing processes and applications.
- Expand the data warehouse by adding new feeds and reporting enhancements.
- Monitor trends and updates within the Python open-source community.
- Help scale our Azure Cloud environment using standard practices for development, deployment, and monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a formal post-secondary co-op program.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Knowledge of low-level languages like C# or C++.
- Experience with SQL queries and an understanding of database structures.
- Strong analytical abilities and an interest in investments.
Location & details#
- This role is hybrid. You will work from our Waterloo office for a minimum of two consecutive days every other week, plus one additional day per month.
- You must provide proof of co-op enrollment with your application.
