About the role#
BCI is seeking a Cash Management Co-op student or intern for an 8-month term from January to August 2027. You will join the Investment Operations department to support the management of client liquidity and short-term funding strategies. This role offers exposure to financial and liquidity management within a large institutional investment environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the management of complex cash activities and assist with daily liquidity reporting and forecasting.
- Assist with the reconciliation of cash across the organization.
- Create detailed reports and develop concise documentation for management teams.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial models.
- Apply AI tools to support analysis, model development, and workflow automation.
- Execute testing procedures and step in on key operational tasks as required.
- Participate in active cash management and short-term funding decision-making.
- Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program related to Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- Fundamental knowledge of basic business and investment disciplines.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- A team-first mindset and a commitment to high ethical standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to new technologies.
- Knowledge of R-studio, Python, Power BI, or Bloomberg is considered an asset.

- Term: Winter and Summer 2027 (January to August).
- Work Modality: On-site in Victoria with the option to work from home one day per week.
