About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in London, Ontario. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting while balancing your academic studies. This role focuses on patient interaction, pharmacy operations, and professional development under the guidance of our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge every customer who approaches the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain strict customer confidentiality and manage patient consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Participate in retail and community pharmacy training to build your professional skills.
- Develop your understanding of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn how to manage daily retail pharmacy operations.
- Improve your communication skills by working with patients, store employees, and other health care workers.
- Explore the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and are a future pharmacist.
- You enjoy providing helpful service to customers.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and location.
