About the role#
We are looking for a Structural Engineering Student for a 16-month internship. You will work from our Saskatoon office to support the structural discipline on various energy and industrial projects. This role involves providing research, analysis, and design support to our engineers and technologists.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings, design calculations, material takeoffs, technical specifications, and reports.
- Use CAD tools for 2D drawing and 3D model reviews.
- Provide support for progress reporting and project task assessments.
- Interface with staff to support project needs.
- Conduct literature reviews and provide research support for the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year student in a Civil Engineering degree program.
- A specific interest in structural analysis and design.
- Successful completion of, or current enrollment in, structural engineering courses.
- Familiarity with CAD and design software such as MathCAD, Excel, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A high regard for job safety and quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Extracurricular involvement, enthusiasm, and ambition.
- Submission of an official or unofficial transcript with your application.
