About the role#
Hatch is seeking a Structural Engineering Student for a 4-month internship based in our Mississauga office. This role supports the Structural Discipline by providing review, analysis, and design assistance for energy and industrial projects. You will work within an office environment and collaborate with teams locally and globally.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, design calculations, material takeoffs, literature reviews, technical specifications, and reports.
- Use CAD tools for 2D drawing and 3D model reviews.
- Provide support for progress reporting and the assessment of ongoing engineering tasks.
- Interface with staff to support project requirements as necessary.
What you'll need#
- You are a 3rd or 4th year student working toward a degree in Civil Engineering.
- You have a specific interest in structural analysis and design.
- You have completed or are currently enrolled in structural engineering courses.
- You possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- You have a high regard for job safety and quality work.
- You are an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who works well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD design software applications such as MathCAD, Excel, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, MicroStation, and AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- Extracurricular involvement is highly valued.

- Compensation: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour.
