About the role#
As an Engineering Intern within our Infrastructure group, you will work from our Boston office to support our water projects. You will join a team focused on creating practical, sustainable solutions for complex infrastructure. This is a full-time, paid internship that provides exposure to professional engineering environments and mentorship from experienced industry leaders.
What you'll do#
- Develop green stormwater infrastructure, site designs, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Apply civil engineering principles to create efficient and economical solutions for design problems.
- Work independently to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings based on project notes.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to support senior staff on various assignments.
- Implement innovative and sustainable engineering practices across project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for civil or environmental engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- A willingness to travel to Hatch offices, project sites, and supplier locations as needed.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is an asset.
