About the role#
As a Student Worker for the Mayborn Museum Store, you will serve as a point of contact for visitors, university educators, and staff. This role focuses on providing quality customer service to ensure a memorable experience for museum guests. You will operate in a lead capacity, taking responsibility for store operations when a supervisor is not present.
What you'll do#
- Engage with visitors and staff to deliver high-quality service.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee daily store operations in the absence of a supervisor.
- Process visitor transactions and manage inventory.
- Stock shelves and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Interest in retail operations and customer service.
- Ability to handle inventory and stock shelves effectively.
- Proficiency in processing transactions.
- Cash handling experience is encouraged but not required.
- Students pursuing majors in Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Mayborn Museum.
- Schedule: Requires one weekend day (Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm or Sunday 12:30pm to 5:00pm). Weekday hours are flexible between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
- Compensation: $11.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling, ongoing employment.
