About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will work within the Engineering department to support power production and delivery operations. You will assist engineering staff with various projects and process mapping while helping to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects focused on power production, power delivery, and transmission facilities.
- Analyze, model, and assemble data using computer-based systems.
- Organize and review documents to meet division records management standards.
- Help with procurement and contracting for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Perform field work at various facilities, which may include working in challenging weather conditions during plant testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program accredited by the EAC of ABET.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid state driver license.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail.
