About the role#
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our Engineering department. You will work on projects involving power production, power delivery operations, and transmission facilities. This role involves both office-based data work and field assignments at various facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects related to power production, transmission, and delivery operations.
- Use computer-based systems to analyze, model, and assemble technical data.
- Perform field work at various company facilities, which may include working in challenging weather conditions.
- Support procurement and contracting tasks for equipment, materials, and construction labor.
- Help with process mapping and assist engineering staff with their daily duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program from an EAC of ABET accredited school.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid state driver's license.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
