About the role#
This internship provides experience in power production, power delivery operations, and transmission facilities. You will work within the Transmission Operations Center department to support Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation operations. This is a full-time, paid position based at the Oswald Generating Station.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects focused on power production and transmission facilities.
- Use computer systems to analyze, model, and assemble data.
- Review and organize documents to meet records management standards.
- Collect and analyze transmission system operating data for reporting purposes.
- Help staff perform daily operational duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM degree program at an accredited college.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in challenging weather conditions for plant testing activities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
