About the role#
This internship provides experience within the Engineering department at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. You will work on projects involving power production, power delivery, and transmission facilities. The role involves supporting engineering staff with data analysis, process mapping, and administrative tasks to maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects focused on power production and transmission infrastructure.
- Use computer systems to analyze, model, and organize project data.
- Help with procurement and contracting tasks for equipment, materials, and labor.
- Review and organize technical documents to meet records management standards.
- Perform field work at various facilities, which may include working in challenging weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program accredited by the EAC of ABET.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high attention to detail.
