About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based at the Palo Verde Generating Station. You will work on individual and group projects while receiving guidance from a dedicated manager and mentor. The program includes professional development activities, company tours, and networking opportunities with leadership. Interns are expected to present their project results to the Engineer Senior Leadership Team at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Perform simple to intermediate engineering analysis and designs.
- Assist with research, technical reviews, and business documentation.
- Learn about internal business and engineering operations by utilizing company resources.
- Coordinate with other departments and disciplines to reach project goals.
- Support refueling or short-notice outage activities if required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering or applied science program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, safety standards, and engineering methods.
- Status as a U.S. person, as this role requires access to information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws.
