About the role#
The SkillBridge Intern program at Arizona Public Service provides hands-on work experience for active service members. You will be paired with a business unit that aligns with your professional background, career interests, or education. This internship is designed to help you transition into the civilian workforce by applying your skills to real-world utility projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform simple to intermediate analysis and design tasks.
- Assist with research, business documentation, and technical reviews.
- Summarize findings through written reports or oral presentations.
- Use internal resources to learn about company operations and functions.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet project goals.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active service member of the Armed Forces within six months of separation.
- You must have applied to the SkillBridge program through the Department of Defense with approval from your chain of command.
- This role is open to students or professionals in fields such as Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Please note that this position does not include compensation or benefits paid by Arizona Public Service. You will continue to receive benefits from the Department of Defense.
- This role requires Critical Infrastructure Protection access, which involves a seven-year criminal history background check.
