The SkillBridge Intern program provides active-duty service members with hands-on work experience across various business units at Arizona Public Service. Interns are paired with a department that aligns with their professional experience, career interests, or educational background to support project goals and operational functions.
What you'll do#
- Perform simple to intermediate analysis and design tasks.
- Assist with research, business documentation, technical reviews, and project studies.
- Summarize findings through written reports and oral presentations.
- Utilize internal resources to learn business operations and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to achieve project objectives.
What you'll need#
- Must be an active Service Member of the Armed Forces within six months of separation.
- Must have applied to the SkillBridge program through the Department of Defense with approval from both the Department of Defense and your chain of command.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) access, which requires a seven-year criminal history background check.

- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship; participants continue to receive benefits through the Department of Defense.
