About the role#
The Engineering Intern works within the AECC Engineering department in Little Rock. You will assist with projects involving substation facilities, transmission lines, and hydroelectric generation. This role involves supporting engineers with data analysis, procurement, and daily operational objectives.
What you'll do#
- Create, design, and model data using engineering software.
- Help engineers with the procurement and contracting of construction labor, equipment, and materials.
- Travel with staff to various locations in Arkansas to collect field data.
- Organize department drawings and documents to meet records management standards.
- Assist with database development, process mapping, and plant testing activities.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Land Surveying degree program at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid state driver's license.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Experience with CAD or ESRI GIS software is helpful.

- The role is full-time and paid.
