About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an intern for our Summerville, South Carolina office. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on structural projects, including bridges and retaining walls, while gaining experience in the pre-construction phase of engineering.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality control project deliverables.
- Prepare structural plans, specifications, and estimates for clients.
- Assist project managers in solving complex technical problems.
- Learn to navigate federal, state, and local regulations alongside company standards.
- Gain proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Students pursuing an Engineering Technology degree are also encouraged to apply.
