About the role#
This internship supports engineering initiatives and projects at Pike Engineering. You will assist with administrative and technical tasks to help keep our infrastructure work on track. This role is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases.
- Create project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Assist in managing small capital or expense projects.
- Create project savings and justification documents.
- Help solve engineering issues using standard principles and practices.
- Handle clerical tasks like document creation, review, and filing.
- Develop operational and maintenance training documentation.
- Assist with engineering project spending documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Civil Engineering student.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
