About the role#
We are hiring Engineering students for a Structural Intern position at our Columbia, South Carolina office. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on project deliverables.
- Work on pre-construction tasks for structural projects, including bridges and retaining walls.
- Prepare structural plans, specifications, and estimates for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines to solve complex engineering problems.
- Learn to navigate federal, state, and local regulations alongside project standards.
- Gain experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Students pursuing an Engineering Technology degree are also encouraged to apply.
