About the role#
Pike Engineering is seeking a Student Intern for Project Administration to support engineering initiatives and projects. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026. You will assist in managing small capital and expense projects while gaining exposure to project scheduling and documentation within the utilities industry.
What you'll do#
- Manage small capital and expense projects, including the creation of project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain project spreadsheets, databases, and spending documentation.
- Develop project savings and justification documents.
- Assist in solving project issues by applying engineering principles and practices.
- Create operational and maintenance training documentation and help aids.
- Perform clerical tasks, including document creation, review, and filing.
- Complete special projects and assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, or Mathematics.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and prioritize conflicting tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
