About the role#
Pike Engineering is seeking a Student Intern for Project Administration to support engineering initiatives and projects. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term. You will work on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, assisting with project management tasks and administrative documentation.
What you'll do#
- Manage small capital or expense projects.
- Create project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases.
- Prepare project savings and justification documents.
- Develop operational and maintenance training documentation and help aids.
- Perform clerical activities including document creation, review, and filing.
- Assist in resolving issues by applying engineering principles.
- Manage engineering project spending documentation.
- Complete special projects and assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, or Mathematics.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities and demonstrate complexity management.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
