About the role#
Ayres Associates is hiring students for internship and co-op positions. You will work on a mix of office and field tasks to support our engineering services teams. This role provides hands-on experience in civil engineering projects.
What you'll do#
You will support construction inspection for water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, roadways, and pavement. Your field work includes assisting with construction staking for subgrade and base courses. When in the office, you will help with design projects and plan production. This includes using Civil 3D for design, drafting plan details, calculating quantities, and developing spreadsheets. You may need to work overtime and travel to project sites within 60 miles of the office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for civil engineering, construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- A reliable vehicle to travel to the office and various project sites.
- Coursework or experience in municipal roadway, vertical building construction, underground utilities, or Civil 3D is helpful.

- Locations: Green Bay, Wisconsin and Waukesha, Wisconsin.
- Terms: Summer 2027 or Fall 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time position.
