About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our survey team in Eau Claire. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers hands-on experience with land surveying projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals and learn how to use modern survey technology in the field and the office.
What you'll do#
- Support the Survey Crew Chief and Professional Land Surveyor with technical tasks.
- Work on one and two-person survey crews using GPS, robotic total stations, terrestrial scanners, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
- Maintain and care for survey equipment.
- Process field data and assist with minor drafting and document preparation.
- Travel to project sites or work overtime when required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a two-year associate degree program in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology, or a four-year degree in Land Surveying.
- A valid driver license and a good driving record.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to the office and project sites.
- Ability to follow OSHA and other safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk over uneven terrain.
