About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our team for a civil engineering internship focused on transportation. You will work under the direct supervision of our engineering staff on various construction projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction inspection for storm sewer, roadway, asphalt, and concrete pavement projects.
- Support design tasks, including plan preparation, data collection, report writing, and calculating quantities.
- Collect traffic data.
- Perform inspection and maintenance work for highway culverts and bridges.
- Document project progress and maintain accurate records.
- Travel to project sites, which may occasionally require overtime or trips within 60 miles of the office.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in civil engineering.
- You have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- You have a reliable way to travel to our office and to various project sites.
- Experience in construction, municipal work, roadway, traffic, or structural projects is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
