About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op for a full-time position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role supports the Collins Aerospace Avionics Platform Software Department. You will gain experience in software development, testing, implementation, and integration while working on platform software for aircraft computing systems. This is a full-time, on-site role running from June 2027 through December 2027, requiring a commitment that includes the Fall semester.
What you'll do#
- Assist in conducting engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
- Create, compile, and consolidate testing on diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct disciplinary research on equipment design phases to develop design options and recommendations.
- Learn hardware and software standards to ensure all work products adhere to organizational requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment in your degree program through the completion of the co-op session.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
