About the role#
Global Markets Analysts join the BMO Capital Markets team for a Winter 2027 internship. You will work within the Global Markets Group, which includes areas like Equity Sales and Trading, Prime Finance, and Debt Capital Markets. Analysts are assigned to a specific desk based on their skills and preferences. The term includes a week of onboarding, followed by continuous professional development activities such as trading games, teach-ins, and networking events with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deploy business solutions, including pricing and risk models.
- Provide insight into trading strategies through quantitative modeling.
- Create client presentation materials using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Develop client trade ideas.
- Recap and organize market data and events.
- Plan client events and shadow professionals across sales, trading, and strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, graduating in Spring 2028, 2029, or 2030.
- Academic focus in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics.
- A record of strong academic standing and active extra-curricular participation.
- Demonstrated interest in finance.
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
