About the role#
BMO Capital Markets offers a Winter 2027 internship for Global Markets Analysts. This program integrates students into the Global Markets Group, which serves institutional, corporate, and government clients. You will be assigned to a specific desk, such as Equity Sales and Trading, Prime Finance, or Debt Capital Markets, based on your skills and preferences. The term includes a week of onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development through teach-ins, trading games, and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deploy business solutions, including pricing and risk models.
- Provide insight into trading strategies using quantitative modelling.
- Create client presentation materials using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Shadow and learn from professionals in Trading, Sales, and Strategy.
- Recap and organize market data and events.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a graduation date in Spring 2028, 2029, or 2030.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
- A proven track record of academic standing and extracurricular participation.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity.
