About the role#
As an intern on Team Sprout, you will join a collaborative group working to transform the new hire onboarding experience. You will contribute to the full software development life cycle, including infrastructure building, feature development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. You will work across the technology stack, which includes Go, NodeJS, and AWS, while collaborating with various internal teams to implement new applications and enhancements.
What you'll do#
- Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop code that meets specific story acceptance criteria.
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality output.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, design, and brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate with Product and Analyst stakeholders to implement enhancements.
- Create technical documentation for analysis, test results, and releases.
- Learn and build AWS cloud infrastructure on the job.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program or higher, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Familiarity with application development using any backend programming language and JavaScript.
- A good understanding of testing fundamentals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Ability to work within a team setting and participate in team discussions.
- Preferred experience includes backend technologies like GoLang, AWS Lambda, S3, version control tools like Git, Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, and API design.
