About the role#
This position is for a student developer to join our API Platform Engineering team. You will work on the design, development, and deployment of API platform components and our Enterprise Event Hub. This is a full-time role for the Winter 2027 term, offering a chance to apply your academic knowledge to real-world infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy API platform components in both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Build and maintain core infrastructure, including service meshes, runtimes, security, and logging.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for the API lifecycle.
- Implement an Enterprise Event Hub using Kafka.
- Identify and debug defects within platform modules to provide effective solutions.
- Learn and apply best practices for continuous integration and delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date of April 2027 or later.
- Experience with Java programming.
- Understanding of APIs, event-driven solutions, DevOps, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- A self-starting attitude with a strong desire to learn and solve problems.
- Preferred: Experience with C#, Python, or JavaScript, as well as scripting for automation.
- Preferred: Knowledge of AWS serverless environments, Spring Boot, and modern event-based architectures like Kafka.
