About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join a Canadian IT team focused on building tools for Group Benefits and Group Retirement Services. You will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team to support the development of software solutions.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of APIs under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
- Assist with gathering functional requirements and developing technical specifications and test plans.
- Help maintain system and project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program with a graduation date of April 2027 or later.
- Strong skills in coding, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, specifically C# or Java.
- Familiarity with the .Net core.Net, or Java Springboot frameworks.
- Experience with SQL for relational or NoSQL databases.
- A professional attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Toronto or Waterloo, Ontario.
- The work modality is hybrid, offering flexibility between office and remote work.
