About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the team in Toronto to support financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting functions. This role operates under a hybrid work model, requiring three days of in-office attendance per week.
What you'll do#
- Develop an automated model to determine cost assumptions for business lines, specifically focusing on new account acquisition, maintenance, and servicing costs.
- Build a Python-based model to automate the HST liability forecast process, replacing manual systems with a more detailed and efficient approach.
- Analyze financial metrics and performance to provide insights into business trends.
- Prepare financial forecasts to support product and strategy decisions.
- Participate in the external financial reporting and audit processes, including OSFI reporting, and perform financial and operational audits to test controls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree or higher from an accredited university, with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Previous internship or co-op experience.
