About the role#
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program for Engineering provides students with hands-on experience in a global financial services environment. You will work on projects involving languages like JavaScript, Python, and Java while gaining insight into how technology supports our business. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle by building features, APIs, and developer tools.
- Use enterprise-approved AI coding tools to assist with development, testing, and debugging.
- Apply modern engineering practices, including source control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with architects, product partners, and other engineers to deliver reliable solutions.
- Help improve software quality by identifying issues and testing new solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- A strong focus on majors such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work without requiring sponsorship for an employment visa.
