About the role#
Internal Audit is an independent function at BNY that assesses the effectiveness of the internal control environment. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to build technical knowledge and learn how audit functions within a global financial services company. You will receive on-the-job training to strengthen your skills in risk management and governance.
What you'll do#
- Support audit work by reviewing processes, risks, and controls across various business operations.
- Analyze information and document observations to identify control gaps or potential improvements.
- Contribute to audit testing, walkthroughs, and reporting to evaluate process effectiveness.
- Partner with audit professionals and stakeholders to gather information and translate findings into clear insights.
- Gain exposure to how governance and internal controls support a global organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- A preference for business or technology-related majors.
- Graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- No requirement for employment visa sponsorship.

- This is an on-site, full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
