    About the role#

    As a Flight Software Engineering Intern, you will help design and build mission systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft. You will work with the A-GRA (OMS/UCI) framework to develop messaging architectures and interoperable systems. This role is based in Atlanta and is available for the Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 terms.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the design and implementation of systems using A-GRA (OMS/UCI) for uncrewed high-speed aircraft.
    • Develop and integrate messaging systems that enable communication between mission subsystems.
    • Work with messaging standards, protocols, and APIs to support system interoperability.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to test, validate, and refine mission system interfaces and integrations.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Entry level experience with C, C++, or other embedded programming languages.
    • Experience with hardware integrations and embedded computers like Raspberry PIs, Arduinos, or STM32s.
    • A strong understanding of engineering first principles.
    • The ability to work within cross-functional teams.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
    • Interest in mission systems, autonomy, or aerospace systems integration.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Commitment: Full-time.
    • Terms: Summer 2026 (approx. 10 weeks) or Fall 2026 (approx. 16 weeks).
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
    • Export Control: Due to U.S. export control regulations, this position requires the candidate to be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
