About the role#
This internship supports engineering initiatives and projects at Pike Engineering. You will assist with technical documentation, project management, and daily operational tasks within our transmission line team. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track project data.
- Create, review, and file project documents.
- Develop operational and maintenance training materials.
- Assist in managing small capital or expense projects.
- Build project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Help solve technical issues using engineering principles.
- Prepare project spending documentation and savings justifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities and manage complex tasks.
