About the role#
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation is hiring an engineering intern to support our Power Production and Delivery departments. You will work alongside our engineering staff on projects related to power production, transmission facilities, and delivery operations. This role offers exposure to both office-based data analysis and field work at various facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects involving power production and transmission infrastructure.
- Use computer-based systems to analyze, model, and assemble technical data.
- Organize and review documents to meet division records management standards.
- Perform field work at various company facilities, occasionally in challenging weather conditions.
- Assist with process mapping and procurement tasks for equipment and construction labor.
- Support engineering staff with daily operations while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
