About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Renewable Energy team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work alongside project managers and collaborate with other disciplines to support the development of energy projects.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects involving photometrics, lighting, power distribution, and EV charging.
- Gain experience with solar and energy projects, specifically focusing on battery storage and PV systems.
- Assist with technical specification writing, report creation, and electrical equipment cost research.
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality control project deliverables.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations along with client-specific practices and standards.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
