About the role#
Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship based in our Kansas City, Missouri office. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on project deliverables.
- Contribute to civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across various project sizes and scopes.
- Solve complex problems and assist project managers in collaborating across disciplines.
- Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal company practices and standards.
- Gain proficiency in discipline-specific software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Major in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
