About the role#
Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join the team in the Dallas, Texas office. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for projects of varying size and scope.
- Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and quality control deliverables for clients.
- Collaborate across disciplines to solve complex problems and assist project managers.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal and client-specific procedures and standards.
- Gain proficiency in discipline-specific software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited bachelor or master degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
