    About the role#

    Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for a full-time, on-site internship based in our Dallas, Texas office. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering design and project planning while working alongside project managers and cross-disciplinary teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across various project scopes.
    • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on client deliverables.
    • Solve complex project problems and collaborate with team members to support client goals.
    • Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards and procedures.
    • Gain proficiency in discipline-specific software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
    • Preferred fields of study include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
